Beach Weddings at Kawaikui beach

Chairs, arches, decor, and after ceremony picnics are allowed here!

Hawaii beach wedding at Kawaikui Beach park
in Honolulu on the island of Oahu

With its gently sloping, shallow shoreline, Kawaikui Beach is an ideal location for oceanfront weddings and vow renewal ceremonies on Oʻahu that take place close to the water’s edge. This unique Honolulu beach allows couples and planners to set up chairs, wedding arches, and tasteful ceremony décor, making it one of the few public beach wedding locations in Hawaiʻi where a more traditional setup is permitted.

Kawaikui Beach is also well-suited for picnic-style celebrations after the ceremony in a relaxed, scenic setting. Weekday ceremonies, in particular, tend to experience lighter foot traffic, providing greater privacy and separation from the general public compared to many other Honolulu-area beach wedding venues. For couples seeking a calm, accessible, and customizable Hawaiʻi beach wedding location, Kawaikui Beach offers both convenience and natural beauty.

Recommendations: Best for weekday morning or late afternoon wedding or vow renewal ceremonies. We strongly recommend that  weddings on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays be avoided if possible. On any day plan to coming early because there is very limited free parking available. Free public parking is very limited so please plan to get there early if you are driving.
